Qt connect slot with arguments

This is the code workaround that declares mouseLocString. I would like to eliminate that step. I am, however, beginning to believe that it is a futile effort. All the answers you are looking for are shown in the Signals & Slots chapter of Qt's documentation. Don't mix the connection "action" with the signals and slots parameters. While related they are distinct. Signals and slots can have parameters. And you can connect compatible signals and slots.
